At first glance at the title most might say ." What does hip hop have to do with affiliate marketing?"
Before I start I'll tell you a brief story about me.

I Was in real estate for five years. One morning, on my way to work I was in my car waiting at a red light, when I heard a loud screech behind me. As I glanced at my rare view mirror a woman driving a mini van plowed into the back of my car. The accident left me in the hospital for a month and a half with a broken collar bone, back and neck injuries, and a broken leg.My car totaled, and to make matters worse the woman driving the mini van
had no auto insurance. But she left the accident with just minor scrapes.

After I left the hospital, I was at home recovering, but the accident left me with permanent back issues. and a permanent limp.

As weeks turned into months I watched as my savings begin slowly depleting. My wife worked but
with us supporting five kids that was barely enough.

Stressed out, I found myself on the Internet, listening to rap music, watching TV or rap videos for most of the day. As you may have guessed, I'm into hip hop big time. While on my computer one day, that's when
it hit me there are millions of people on the Internet every day. That could only equal tons of money.

Realizing the potential, I got involved with using the Internet to make money. I got involved in one program that didn't work out. I ended up spending more money than I actually made. The failure of my first Internet business venture didn't stop me. I was determined to make money on the Net. That's when I found affiliate programs worked best for me. So I got focused
and started with a program founded by Ewen Chia.
Which got me on the way of making a nice chunk of money every month. Since that worked out so well, I decided to get involve with another one a friend recommended. It was the "HOME CASH COURSE"
by Rachel Ryan I seen money sky rocket from that program also.

Then I tried a third, which I will not mention because it was not as great as the Home Cash Course or Ewen Chia's programs.

But doing good with those two affiliate programs made me think. How could I incorporate these same type of affiliate programs with the love I had for hip hop. A few weeks later I got in touch with a friend who sold mix CD's on the net. He mentioned
to me about a few programs he was involved with
that was hip hop themed and he was banking on.

One of them was mix unit's affiliate program. I tried it there is a nice flow of money to be made with this program if you market to the right people.

The Other hip hop affiliate programs I profited from were by 24 7 mixtapes, and hip hop bling.com.
Believe me There are other affiliate programs I've tried hip hop related or not . But I only mention the ones that I've made a good profit from.. Don't get me wrong I have not seen millions a month yet like most of these Internet gurus claim. But put it this way I have not worked a traditional 9 to 5 job for over six years now. And I do not plan on having a boss again. As long as affiliate marketing works for me. I'll accept my "thousandaire" status for now.

But with any affiliate program it works like any kind of business venture. It's a mind game. What I mean by that in order for it to work you have to make it work. You have to be persistent, be focused be driven, be hungry your mind has to forget all the past failures in life and be determined to make it happen..

You have to have that certain ultimate goal in mind, along with consistency. Do not be complacent with where you are in life. If you think mediocre your life will be mediocre.

And always remember before becoming a millionaire you have to be a thousandaire.
