Samsung Ultra Series – provider freedom

Hugely popular for its sleek and stylish look, the Samsung Ultra-Series mobile phones have become substantially popular in the market and they boosted the Samsung Mobile line since their launch. Models like the U600, U700(v) and the somewhat lesser popular u300 and U100. These phones come with camera, Bluetooth, speakerphone and MicroSD card slots and boast of excellent user interface.

It would really be sad, if you have bought one of the Ultra-Series phones and have got stuck in a situation where your phone refuses to work as soon as you try using it in any network other than the one provided from the company. Do not worry, simply relax because this article has been written especially for those like you out there who are facing the same problem and do not know what to do. We are here to tell you how you can remove this lock from your phone and make your phone compatible to any network whatsoever.

To use this article you will not even have to leave your home. If you correctly follow the instructions you will have a simlock free Samsung mobile within 10 – 15 minutes (including the reading of this article and the unlock manual). Please note that unlocking mobile phones in most countries is NOT illegal. To be 100% sure please check regulations in your country.

How to know your Samsung is simlocked? When you put in a simcard from a Operator other then the one from which you got the phone the phone will give you message like ‘wrong card’ or ‘incorrect SIM’ or something similar. Now to unlock your phone you will need a data cable. For the Ultra series you can use the original usb cable that comes with the phone. Now you have 2 choices. The use of a free (cracked) software or using a paid solution. Now most people will prefer the free option but what are the differences?

The free option is not the safest option, it can destroy your phone, change the IMEI, make you loose reception and it gives you no guarantees whatsoever. There is some free software out there that works, but sometimes hackers use the names of this free (good) software to hide viruses and Trojans in and get them on your computer. You just could be that unlucky one that gets the wrong copy. The paid versions are around 15 euros and give you certainty and more importantly, professional support. If you have any questions or if something might go wrong you can contact them and they will usually respond within a day or so. Next to that the paid versions are almost always developed such that the unlocking is as easy as possible for everybody so it costs you as little time as possible.

After you have done the unlocking you can insert any compatible simcard in your phone. Unlocking can save you a lot of money on your holidays by buying a local simcard and so saving on high roaming costs. Unlocking your mobile phone also increases the resale value of your phone by 50% because now you can sell it in any country and people can use it on any provider they want.
