OTTAWA SET TO THRILL IN 2017 WITH RED BULL CRASHED ICE

Last year, World Champion, Cameron Naasz took his Spivo Stick down the course in Quebec City.

This year Canada turns 150! To celebrate, the government has established events spanning the entire year... who needs a birthday when you can have a birth year!

One of the most exciting events to grace our nation's capital is Red Bull Crashed Ice's final stop. 

What is Crashed Ice?

It is a race, which features heats of four skaters clad in protective equipment careening down an ice course of steep declines, jumps and turns. Think hockey meets luge. According to Red Bull, it is "The fastest sport on skates".

Imagine the world’s best athletes competing for the ultimate title during the final showdown on the iconic locks of the Rideau Canal, overlooking Parliament Hill and the famous Chateau Laurier.

Red Bull Crashed Ice will make its Ottawa debut when the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship crashes and glides its way into the capital on March 3-4, 2017.
